Lecturers

AGNĖ DAUTARTAITĖ-KRUTULĖ (Lithuania) is a designer focused on paper book and experimental print design. She lectures on book art and design and book interpretation in the Vilnius Academy of Arts. With a group of friends Agnė regularly organises an international book design conference “6 pt”, usually held in the first weekend of October.

BAPTISTE GUESNON (Sweden) is a designer working in Stockholm. He studied graphic design in Estienne (Paris), Duperré (Paris) and the ÉSAD Valence (France) where he dived into type and digital design.

MARKUS ITKONEN (Finland) (Ph. D.) is a Finnish graphic designer and a popular lecturer on typographic issues. He has written several books on typography, Typographic Handbook being the best known of them.

ROOSMARII KURVITS (Estonia) graduated from the Tartu University Department of Journalism in 1992. She has designed newspapers and journals, has taught newspaper design for 23 years, and has penned a monograph on Estonian newspaper design in 1806–2005.

MARTIN MAJOOR (Netherland) is an international renowned type designer who created award-winning typefaces like Scala, Seria and Nexus. His most recent typeface Questa was designed in collaboration with Jos Buivenga. It ranked second in a list of the 50 most noteworthy font releases of 2014, published by 365Type/ATypI. Majoor taught typography at several Schools of Fine Art and he lectured around the globe. Currently he gives masterclasses/workshops and writes about typography for specialized books and magazines. He has been living and working in both Holland and Poland.

ALEXEY MURASHKO (Latvia) is a Belarus-born graphic designer and typographer living in Riga. He serves as an Art Director in design agency VCG, makes books and contributes for the Schrift – journal on type and typography.

SERGEY RASSKAZOV (Russia) is a typographer and graphic designer, founder of the School of Type Design and organiser of the Typetersburg festival.

ANDRES TALI (Estonia) (b 1956): a quiet, exemplary schoolboy, a private in the Soviet Army, later head of the design department of Estonia’s largest publishing house, council chairman of CCA, Estonia, Artistic Director of an advertising agency, Professor of Liberal Arts, academic vice-rector and dean in the Academy of Arts, freelance artist and/or graphic designer, Grand Prix of the Tallinn Graphic Triennial.
